Description
Star-M C-Type bits represent a step up in size from their superlative Super Clean Cut range.
These bits are optimised for smooth, clean and efficient cutting in all sorts of timber from softwood to hardwood as well as ply, mdf and engineered LVLs.
The brad point design allows them to be referenced to your desired hole accurately.
The C-type uses the leading point of the flute to sever the fibres at the perimeter of the hole a fraction of a second before the bottom is cut crisply with the sharp cutting edge on the bottom of the bit.
The C-Type’s flutes measure 80mm long, with an overall length of 155mm.
The shank has been machined with a 6.3mm hex flange, allowing it to be used in impact drivers and cordless screw drivers. We prefer using them in a drill with a three jaw chuck to achieve the cleanest possible exit cut, but fast results can be had by installing them in an impact driver.
Use at a speed below 2500rpm.
