Description
These beautifully crafted mirror-polish snips feature handles made from Bubinga (African Rosewood – Guibourtia), delivering elegance and control for delicate pruning work. Ideal for cutting live plants and fine stems, they excel in bonsai care, floristry, and general garden finesse.
Each pair is hand-forged by Toyama Hamono using traditional Japanese techniques. Known for their work since the 1860s, Toyama Hamono craftsmen shape and sharpen each blade to a precise convex curve, offering a clean, precise snip every time. These snips are not intended for use on dead wood, thick branches, or wire, as misuse may damage the fine edge.
Each piece is a unique reflection of its maker, with subtle variations that highlight its handcrafted nature and comes boxed.
