Description
Designed for precision work on live plants—flowers and houseplants—these premium Japanese budding snips are hand-forged and sharpened using traditional methods. Each piece has its own unique character, with handles wrapped in hand-stitched tan leather and waxed thread for both comfort and beauty.
The cowhide leather handle is shaped to offer a secure, tactile grip that becomes more refined with age. Exposure to sweat, sun, and sap will naturally patinate the leather over time, marking your journey in the garden.
Forged by the renowned Toyama Hamono workshop, these snips are drop forged and feature a curved blade sharpened to a fine convex edge. Ideal for clean and precise cuts in soft stems and foliage, they come boxed.
Care and Maintenance
These snips are not suitable for cutting dead wood, wire, or thick branches. Clean and oil after use with camellia oil or Yanipika to prevent rust and sap buildup, and never sharpen the back edge of the blade.
